The Power of Unity: A Journey of the Mind
If the human mind listens to the Holy Spirit, it occasionally experiences itself as unified with other minds. This profound connection, often referred to as the Holy Instant in A Course in Miracles, can also be found in various spiritual traditions. Hinduism calls it Samadhi, Buddhism refers to it as Nirvana, Zen practitioners know it as Satori, and Christian Mysticism recognizes it as the Mystical Union of the son and his father as oneself.
In this state of unity, the mind transcends its limited perception of separation and embraces the interconnectedness of all beings. It is a moment of profound clarity and spiritual awakening, where the boundaries that divide us dissolve, and we recognize the inherent oneness of existence.
When the separated mind chooses to embark on a path of perceiving itself as unified with all minds, a remarkable transformation occurs. It begins to embody the qualities of love and forgiveness towards all people. This shift in perception allows the individual to see beyond the surface-level differences and recognize the divine essence within every being.
The Holy Spirit, often referred to as the right mind, plays a crucial role in this process of transformation. It guides the separated mind towards a remaking of the self from its dense physical form on earth to a light-filled expression of its true nature. This remaking is a journey of self-discovery and spiritual evolution.
After UCLA College of Letters where I obtained PhD is Philosophy, Psychology and Religion I got a teaching job at the University. I felt uneasy teaching. I applied for a job in the mental health field; I got many offers and within two years was running the mental health center where I worked, supervising psychologists and psychiatrists who have been in that field for many decades.
Eventually, I felt bored by the job (of been executive director...I was barely thirty two years old when I was the executive director of the largest mental health agency in the city where I lived) and quit and tried doing other things.
Nothing I tried worked out for me. So, I did other executive director jobs but eventually wound up quitting and returning to college teaching until I felt that teaching is too easy for me; I felt unchallenged being a college professor (I filled my time writing on assorted subjects that interested me).
Eventually, I realized that I have a destiny and fate. My normal routine is to read until I go to sleep (although there is a huge TV in the house, I seldom watch it) and get up around 5 AM, think for a while, and then go to my computer and type the thoughts that I just had in my sleep.
