Taking Responsibility for Our Lives: A Journey of Self-Determinism
My friend, I have reached a point in my life where I no longer blame others for the challenges and setbacks I have faced. As I enter my sixties, I have come to realize that I am responsible for the experiences I have had. It is a liberating perspective that allows me to take control of my own destiny.
Now, I understand that you may have a different viewpoint, advocating for environmental determinism. And that's okay. In fact, I believe in a combination of both environmental and self-determinism. I choose to consider the impact of my surroundings while also recognizing the power of my own choices and actions.
When it comes to understanding the world around us, I find inspiration in both the theory of evolution and the concept of intelligent design. These two perspectives, seemingly opposing, can coexist harmoniously in my mind. I see the universe as a kind of Matrix, where our true selves, our spirits, have constructed this reality. We project ourselves into what we call human beings on Earth while remaining as spirits outside our physical bodies.
If you're interested in exploring these ideas further, I invite you to check out my books. One of them, titled "Connected Lives," delves into the interconnectedness of our existence and the profound impact we have on one another. Additionally, I have another book in the works, "Joined Lives," which will further explore the concept of our spirits intertwining in this vast universe.
Ultimately, what matters most is finding a perspective that resonates with you and allows you to make sense of the world. Whether you lean towards environmental determinism, self-determinism, or a combination of both, the key is taking responsibility for our lives. By acknowledging our role in shaping our experiences, we empower ourselves to create the future we desire.
