My karma is to be self-sufficient; given my experience, I do not expect any human being to give me a penny. I used to be the one giving folks’ money, but lately, I decided to give folks money no more. I stopped that one-way giving pattern and cut people loose.

The salient point here is that each of us has a fate, and despite the rubbish written by psychology, people relate to you in a certain manner. Even if you are sleeping and people had not known you before, they would still relate to your sleeping body in the manner they relate to your awake body.

My abusive social relationships, where my parents abused me in the sense that they gave stuff to my siblings but not to me, are meant to teach me that material possessions do not define my worth. It is through these experiences that I have learned the importance of self-sufficiency and the power it holds in shaping our lives.

Understanding Self-Sufficiency

Self-sufficiency is the ability to rely on oneself for the necessities of life, both material and emotional. It is a mindset that allows us to take control of our own destiny and not depend on others for our happiness or well-being.

When we are self-sufficient, we are not burdened by the expectations and judgments of others. We are free to make our own choices and live life on our own terms. It is a liberating feeling to know that we have the power within ourselves to create the life we desire.

Breaking Free from Dependency

Breaking free from dependency is not always easy. It requires a shift in mindset and a willingness to let go of the need for validation from others. It means recognizing that we are enough on our own and that we don't need someone else to complete us.

In my own journey towards self-sufficiency, I realized that I had been relying on others to fill a void within myself. I was seeking external validation and approval, and as a result, I was constantly disappointed and let down. It was only when I made the decision to cut people loose and rely on myself that I truly began to find fulfillment.

It is important to note that self-sufficiency does not mean cutting ourselves off from others completely. It simply means that we are no longer dependent on them for our happiness or well-being. We can still have meaningful relationships and connections, but they are no longer the sole source of our identity.

Finding Strength in Adversity

Adversity often plays a significant role in shaping our journey towards self-sufficiency. It is through the challenges and hardships that we are forced to confront our own limitations and find the strength within ourselves to overcome them.

For me, the abusive social relationships I experienced taught me the importance of standing up for myself and setting boundaries. They showed me that I cannot rely on others to treat me with respect and kindness, but rather, it is my responsibility to demand it for myself.

While it may be painful to acknowledge and confront the wounds of our past, it is through this process that we can heal and grow. We learn to trust in our own abilities and develop a sense of resilience that allows us to navigate life's challenges with confidence.

Embracing Your Fate

Embracing our fate means accepting that we are not in control of everything that happens to us. We cannot change the past or control how others choose to treat us. However, we have the power to determine how we respond to these circumstances and shape our own future.

By embracing our fate, we take ownership of our lives and refuse to be defined by the actions or opinions of others. We recognize that we are the authors of our own story and that we have the ability to create a life that is aligned with our values and aspirations.

Self-sufficiency is not about isolation or selfishness. It is about recognizing our own worth and taking responsibility for our own happiness. It is about valuing ourselves enough to set boundaries and make choices that align with our true selves.

Conclusion

Self-sufficiency is a powerful mindset that allows us to break free from the dependency on others and take control of our own lives. It is through embracing our fate and finding strength in adversity that we can truly become self-sufficient.

While the journey towards self-sufficiency may not always be easy, it is a path worth pursuing. By relying on ourselves and valuing our own worth, we can create a life that is fulfilling and aligned with our true selves.

So, embrace your fate, trust in your own abilities, and remember that you have the power to shape your own destiny. You are self-sufficient, and no one can take that away from you.
